Act Lab is for students new and long term who would like to be a part of creating a show with fellow students at any skill level. You will be lead through the process of turning your circus skills into performance for Over The Back Fence.
Over the Back Fence will create a suburban circus adventure. It will be a circus tour of a range of local sites across the Morningside area, from Vulcana’s venue, to the community garden, a local brewery, a laundromat, a local theatre, the river beach and home again for a party. Audiences will travel by coach from location to location to witness small circus performances in these various sites.
Some of the circus performances will be created inside classes such as Group Bike and Int/Adv aerial classes and others through Act Lab, where you will be supported to find an idea and develop it, or you can bring an idea to be realised. So please enrol in these classes if you are interested. Additional devising and rehearsal will be conducted on Sunday afternoons in Term 1.
The public season of Over the Back Fence is Thursday 22 - Saturday 24 April 2021 with a dress rehearsal on Wednesday 21 April.
