Done General Aerials and feel ready to focus on a specific apparatus?  Try this 4 week short course diving into the world of teardrop.

Due to COVID safety guidelines, these are small group classes and students will have their own piece of equipment for the whole class. Due to those we have made the classes slighter shorter to avoid fatigue.

This class will be taught be Rachael Gibson.

This is an Intermediate class, which means it’s suitable for students who have completed several terms of General Aerials or equivalent.

Payment is taken 50% at time of booking, and 50% 2 weeks after class begins, or you can choose to pay the full amount at checkout.

Note: As of Term 4 2020, all students receive automatic Vulcana Bronze membership. This does not come at any cost to you, but means you have voting rights at AGM time.  You can opt out of this at any time by emailing development@vulcana.org.au

Here at Vulcana Women’s Circus, we run workshops for adults and kids and teens, and we develop community projects with all kinds of different communities, the focus always being on creativity and empowerment through circus. You can book us for gigs, workshops or hire our space at the Stores Studio, Brisbane Powerhouse.

Vulcana’s circus workshop and performance projects engage a broad range of community participants and work in partnership with arts and community organisations to create opportunities for cultural expression and community development. In a safe, playful space we encourage participants to be themselves with joy and push the boundaries of what is achievable as one or in a group.

Fun and challenging, this class was great for both body and mind.

Part formal lesson, part creative exploration, this class is always an exciting journey into what is possible on a highly versatile apparatus. Teardrop is a great intermediate apparatus because it provides for a crossover of trapeze and tissu skills, while being more comfortable than the trapeze with more opportunities for rest positions than a tissu.
