Vulcana is offering an exciting Master Class Intensive with highly experienced guest artist,
Deb Batton.
She will introduce artists to new devising processes, and new approaches to using the body through circus and movement, towards creating new works
Deb Batton is a very experienced circus director, working with Tumble Circus, NICA, Circus Oz, The Women’s Circus, among others, and she was Artistic Director of Legs on the Wall.
She is currently touring as a performer with A Good Catch in the award-winning show, Casting Off. She delivers exceptional workshop experiences for participants at all levels of performance and devising skills.
.
Participants can choose to just attend this masterclass, or also sign up to circus lab over 8 weeks that will support emerging and professional performers to respond to the provocations of consumption and waste, based around found objects, rejected white goods, obsolete technology, and more.
The Circus Lab will develop these incentives into a range of new short works for audiences
that will be presented in a range of ways to suit the developing works, that could be immersive,
