This is an Intermediate class, which means it’s suitable for students who have completed several terms of aerials or equivalent.                

To participate, you must be able to:

  • Invert in the air
  • Footlocks in the air
  • Hiplock in the air
  • Russian climb to the top of the Tissu
  • Complete 3 knee climbs   
  • Preferably to have executed and are comfortable with small drops                                     

As this is an intermediate/advanced level class, if you are new to Vulcana or have yet to attend one of our Tissu classes, please email us or check in with the trainer to make sure this is the right class for you.

Here at Vulcana Women’s Circus, we run workshops for adults and kids and teens, and we develop community projects with all kinds of different communities, the focus always being on creativity and empowerment through circus. You can book us for gigs, workshops or hire our space at the Stores Studio, Brisbane Powerhouse.

Vulcana’s circus workshop and performance projects engage a broad range of community participants and work in partnership with arts and community organisations to create opportunities for cultural expression and community development. In a safe, playful space we encourage participants to be themselves with joy and push the boundaries of what is achievable as one or in a group.

Loved the intermediate tissu classes at Vulcana. Great venue and supportive environment. The teachers are so experienced and have great tips and techniques for the tissu, while making sure that everyone is working safely at their skill level. Lots of fun!

Terms

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

  • A transfer can be requested anytime before the class starts. Free of charge.
  • A credit note can be requested 2 days before the class starts. An admin fee of AU$20.00 applies.

No changes will be allowed after these times.
